BATANGAS VARSITARIAN

cropped-b-zbbim-exu
it is said that the BATANGAS VARSITARIAN has composition and type of Batangas, our first rumble was held here in Batangas at the year 1969 13th of October against the combine strength of the ETA ZETA, ALPHA PHI OMEGA and the SIGMA LAMBDA EPSILON and it is the cause of death of our dear brother LUISITO BANAAG our senior of Calero. Our brother was composed of 8 men while there were 21 of the enemy. Lord High LAZARO MALVAR was there too, and also wounded. Because of these the names of the other fraternities and it’s reputation was destroyed in the eyes of many people, because they thought that fraternities are for good moral and strong brotherhood and not for any other reason back in that statement that when they left B.V. 2 members went in the chapter in Alangilan and went back in the fight composing of 5 strong men and fight back against the enemy. And the enemy were defeated in the riot, by then BATANGAS VARSITARIAN became the strongest organization on Region IV.

“ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVED”

The BATANGAS VARSITARIAN FOUNDATION INC.(“BVFI”, for short)registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 17, 2003.BVFI is the realization of the dreams nurtured by a group of young Batanguenos who first got together when they were taking up their college education in the university belt. finding a common bond in the province of their birth, they decided to enlist succeeding generations of young Batanguenos studying in Metro Manila to work together, initially to fulfill the wishes of their parents by finishing their studies which eventually led to informal but regular meetings after college, to discuss ways and means to help out their less fortunate province-mates.

Through the relentless and untiring effort of one of its founders Carlos A. Bathan, (also known as KUYA CALOY), the BVFI was born. Initially funded at One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php100,000.00), fifteen selfless and hardworking individuals from Batangas gave birth to BVFI as they incorporated and provided the initial funds for the organization. These are:

1. Fernando J. Mitra
2. Jose Bicol
3. Reynaldo Ilagan
4. Armando Tejero
5. Zoilo Enriquez
6. Enrico Abrenica
7. Jose Samson
8. Noel Tasico
9. Andres Vanguardia
10. Teodulo Landicho
11. Nenita Macario
12. Cesario Ilagan Jr.
13. Marcelino Magpantay
14. Ernesto Vergara
15. Carlos A. Bathan

In recognition of the fact that the galvanizing factor in the establishment of the BVFI was principally because of one individual, Carlos A. Bathan was elected by the duly contituted Board of Trustee as its Chairman. The fourteen other individuals who incorporated BVFI now sits as trustee.

To conclude this short background, it is well to point out the unlike most other start-ups, BVFI is not earnest effort performing its primary mandate as enumerated in the charter that the government has granted it, and that is, TO HELP PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE AND COMMON GOOD OF THE PEOPLE OF BATANGAS.

Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) is an international criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles, California. It has spread to other parts of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America. The majority of the gang is ethnically composed of Central Americans (mostly Salvadorans) and active in urban and suburban areas.

In the U.S., the MS-13 has an especially heavy presence in Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California; the Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas of Fairfax County, Virginia, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Prince George’s County, Maryland; Queens, New York; Long Island, New York; Newark, New Jersey, Plainfield, New Jersey; Jersey City, New Jersey; Elizabeth, New Jersey; the Boston, Massachusetts area; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Houston, Texas. There is also a presence of MS-13 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Members of MS distinguish themselves by tattoos covering the body and also often the face, as well as the use of their own sign language. They are notorious for their use of violence and a subcultural moral code that predominantly consists of merciless revenge and cruel retributions. This cruelty of the distinguished members of the “Maras” or “Mareros” earned them a path to be recruited by the Sinaloa Cartel battling against Los Zetas in an ongoing drug war south of the United States border. [5] [6][7] Their wide-ranging activities have drawn the attention of the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, who have initiated wide-scale raids against known and suspected gang members – netting hundreds of arrests across the country

    CAVITE VARSITARIAN

    cropped-b-zbbim-exu

CAVITE VARSITARIAN Organization was formed in March 1957 in University of East Manila Philippines. Lasting over two generations and spreading in Cavite, colleges and university in manila. the fraternity continues to hold premier social events for its members. Additionally, the fraternity members have a strong record of humanitarian projects and public-service drives, and have earned the respect and appreciation of both the community and city government. In the latter years (1959-60), only 6 out of 11 members stayed intact and they were Jun Roxas, Bob Icayan, Cheer Genoso, Celso Alvarez, Benjie Kalugdan, and Arthur Cajulis. Young students who were studying at the Manila colleges and universities formed Cavite Varsitarian in 1957. Because of the clash among personalities early on, this association never managed to fully develop as a social club. Some members broke away and formed Mon Cher Ami. The core members who remained in the Cavite Varsitarian were Cesar Gutierrez (then-President), Boy Quion, Jun de Castro, Alex Tirona, and other loyal buddies.

Members who left the Cavite Varsitarian organized Mon Cher Ami in early 1958. This newly formed club consisted primarily of younger folks in Cavite City and quickly became popular and gained admiration. But, weakened by internal and external pressures, Mon Cher Ami collapsed in 1962 and never recovered. Mon Cher Ami is still remembered as a celebrated social club that once existed in Cavite City.

    Our Story

    cropped-b-zbbim-exu

During Senator Gregorio B. Honasan II incumbency as senator of the Philippine Republic, we have known from various accounts in the past how the former senators involvement began with the clamours for unity from every marked GUARDIANS nationwide that he was able to touch base with during the tour of duty as Senator in the performance of his mandated function as public servant. Excerpts from all those incidental acquaintances with the GUARDIANS from the grassroots levels nationwide summarizes into but only one sacred word, “UNITY”.

By midyear 1999, a few good men from the Office of Senator Honasan headed by George M. “FGBF GEORGE” Duldulao started initially the GUARDIANS unification efforts by patiently establishing contacts with the key leaders of all GUARDIANS factions nationwide.

During the provisional months of the unification efforts, some responded readily considering the good senator then as the unifying factor while others may have absorbed it negatively. Arduous tasks indeed but the unification core group was not derailed with all those discouragements and thus continued with their quest for uniting the brotherhood into one cohesive national organization. Because for nearly twenty-five (25) years, the GUARDIANS movement had no clear vision of its directions nor any proposed formal structure.

Thus the day of reckoning did happen on March 18 and 19, 2000 when GUARDIANS elders and key leaders coming from the different major factions of the GUARDIANS movement and splinter groups convened for a unification meeting in Manila. Expected as it was, the scenario and environment were very unlikely from the day the representatives / delegates from thirteen (13) regions with different orientations arrived all claiming to be the original GUARDIANS organization.

Although it was indeed a lengthy heartbreaking discussions and battle of the GUARDIANS titans; from the result of the unification meeting lies a great story… the birth of the “PHILIPPINE GUARDIANS BROTHERHOOD, INCORPORATED (PGBI)” to unify all GUARDIANS factions and splinter groups under one umbrella organization.

The Philippine GUARDIANS Brotherhood, Incorporated (PGBI), is a non-stock and non-sectarian organization. The core and main objective of the Organization is to unite, develop and maintain camaraderie among its members for the betterment and more effectively address matters of their common interests and concerns, and with the view of achieving sustainable development for the Filipino communities as a non-government organization dedicated in pursuit of peace and prosperity for all Filipinos.

The new and unifying organization holds aloft the motto: “Brotherhood for PEACE, INTEGRITY, JUSTICE, EQUALITY, SERVICE and PROSPERITY”.

The Articles of Incorporation and Constitution and By-laws of the organization was formulated, approved and was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 26, 2000 under SEC Registration NrA200008885. The incorporators were the following:

Fernando “RMG ELSEWHERE” Malamion               Representative, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)

Isa Perfecto “RMG Mohammad” Vergel de Dios, Jr.         Representative, National Capital Region (NCR)

Atty Rex Alvin ‘RMG ARAB” Bilagot                                      Representative, Region I

Miguel “RMG MASTER” Salomon                                           Representative, Region II

Isaac “RMG MEL” Padilla                                                          Representative, Region III

Ernesto “RMG MAO” Macahiya                                            Representative, Region IV

Fiscal Romeo “RMG ISAROG” Tayo                                        Representative, Region V

Steve “SGGF SKIPPER” Martir                                                 Representative, Region VI

Atty. Pedro Leslie “RMG PLS” Salva                                       Representative, Region VII

Dr. Pantaleon J. “RMG EXPLORER” Crodua, Jr                    Representative, Region, VIII

Hamid “RMG AMID” Julhani                                                   Representative, Region IX

Atty. Arthur “RMG COMET” Abundiente                                           Representative, Region X

Dionisio “FGRF DANIEL” Quita, Jr.                                         Representative, Region XI

. . .while Senator Gregorio “SGF GRINGO” B Honasan II; Leborio “MFGF ABRAHAM” Jangao, Jr.; Billy “SGF SIERRA” Bibit; Ernie “MG CARUB” Burac; Bernard “RMG RANGER” Corella; Elixier “RMG NOAH” Bongabong; George M. “FGBF GEORGE” Duldulao; and Garibaldi C. Sungduan affixed their signatures as witnesses in the Articles of Incorporation.

The members of the Interim National Executive Council composed of the delegates or representatives to the March 18-19, 2000 National Unification Convention in Manila existed immediately upon the ratification of the Constitution and By-Laws except for Fernando “MG ELSEWHERE” Malamion – Representative, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) which were replaced by Fiscal Elmer “MG PIALMER” Sagsago because the former represented CAR In behalf of MG PIALMER by virtue of resolution passed by CAR leadership.

All burning with enthusiasm, the delegates/regional representatives return to their respective regions of jurisdiction spreading the good news of unification and to replicate the unification efforts down to the grassroots level and get ready for consolidation processes.

Changing conditions and needs, however, dictate that the PGBI Constitution and other legal orders should likewise reflect the changing times. Structural/Organizational refining was effected to start from top PGBI hierarchy and each one has its own time to leave and has choices to be made in each time whether graceful or ungraceful.. In the instance, those choices are sometimes painful if it means accepting ungraceful exit from the organization. Although they form part in carving PGBI history, we have to respect and let go of the following unification brothers: VPs Luzon Bernard “RMG RANGER” Corella and Virgilio “SGF BRONZE” Briones; VP Visayas Pastor “RMG KADRE” Alcover; NCR Representatives RMG Mohammad Isa Vergel De Dios & SGF LAZO; Region III Representative Isaac “RMG MEL” Padilla; Region IX Representative Hamid “RMG AMID” Julhani; Region XI Representative Daniel “FGRF DANIEL” Quieta, Jr.; and some members of the unification secretariat namely; Ernie “MG CARUB” Burac & Elixier “MG NOAH” Bongabong.

The title of Master Founder (MF) which was included in the original Constitution and By-Laws was unanimously deleted and approved by members of the PGBI National Executive Council (NEC) in a convention held on June 22, 2002 when its Constitution and By-Laws was amended.

Grand Supremo (GS) is a title given to the highest incumbent National Official of the organization, whether coming from the Supreme Godfather (SGF) / Supreme Godmother (SGM), Ranking MAGIC Group (RMG).

    ALPHA KAPPA RHO FRATERNITY

    ALPHA  KAPPA  RHO FRATERNITY

    cropped-b-zbbim-exu

On August 08, 1973, the celebration of the Feast  Day of St.   Dominic,   patron    saint   of    the   University  of    Santo  Tomas, sixteen   young,  all-male,  energetic  and  ambitious freshmen and sophomore students of the university, sharing  the  same  interests,  dreams    and   ambitions,  formed   their  own   kind  of   fraternal organization  –  the  ALPHA  KAPPA  RHO FRATERNITY.

This  was  during  the  tumultuous  early  years  of martial  rule in the Philippines. However  the  time  was   then, these  young   men,  guided  by  the  almighty, bonded themselves together as one.

The  group  was  form  out  of  necessity since  at that time, as it is now, members of other fraternities  in the AB-Commerce Building of UST, would recruit potential  neophytes to join  their ranks. But since this new grouping, whose members were mostly products of exclusive schools for boys in Metro Manila were themselves already in a band
in campus, and  in order to ward- off  the pesky recruiters who could not wait to  lay their hands on them, they thought, why not form their own?

Lead  by  Bro  “Boy  Chua”,  whose  idea   was   it  to  form  their  own fraternity, and with Bro Noli Manalo (+),Bro Roger Sarmiento, Bro Teddy Aves, Bro Philip Balange, Bro Tanny Bernabe, Bro James Bracewell, Bro Monchet Cabrera, Bro Philip Diman, Bro Renato Go, Bro Teddy De Lara, Bro Arnel (Lim) Lorenzo, Bro Vismark Quequep, Bro
Edwin Solano, Bro Ronnie Leuterio and Bro Gil Villegas, they founded the ALPHA KAPPA RHO Fraternity or AKRHO. Thus, the seed of the organization was planted and soon after the birth of ALPHA KAPPA RHO came to be. It happened that the founders themselves were likewise starting to recruit young members to join their own rank. Tensions rose within University of Santo Tomas campus among fraternities with our presence. Inevitably, we had to show true grit during heightened emotions, even when others tried vainly to erase the name ALPHA KAPPA RHO in the face of the earth. Our growing young fraternity then stood their ground and faced adversities with much courage, vigor and
fortitude, in defense of, and for the protection of its existence.

In so short a time, the  small  group  developed  into a strong force – in character and spirit, as well as in great number. Its popularity grew by leaps     and  bounds!  More collegiate chapters were  formed in different universities     and colleges  in  Metro Manila. Later, Junior and Community chapters were likewise  established  and became part of AKP family.

In 1976 the merging of OMEGA Fraternity and Sorority of San Sebastian College and ZETA UPSILON Fraternity of U.E. (University of the East) Recto with the ALPHA KAPPA RHO (AKRHO) Intercollegiate Service Fraternity and Sorority mark the beginning of the growth of ALPHA KAPPA RHO. The population of AKP commenced in greater numbers, expanding aggressively in massive members welcomed and much stronger than any other fraternities in the U-Belt (University Belt) area. The word AKRHO was established and among those being feared by rival fraternities. The growth of the AKP in 1975 was because of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth with the coherent full cooperation, strong powers and determinations of our brothers and sisters of F.E.U. (Far Eastern University), P.S.B.A. (Philippine School of Business Administration) and N.C.B.A. (National College of Business and Arts) and San Sebastian College chapters with the help of the High School Skeptrons headed by Bro JUN “LABO” Pasaporte then called the DELTA KAPPA RHO or Junior Skeptrons. These five mentioned universities were the key factors in the growth of the ALPHA KAPPA RHO (AKRHO) Intercollegiate Service Fraternity and Sorority. Bro Jun “Labo” Pasaporte devoted his time and life
for AKRHO. He died in July 17, 2003 at age 45 in Manila, Philippines. In addition to the adaption of the ALPHA KAPPA RHO Sorority, other fraternities and sororities with the same thoughts and feelings as that of the ALPHA KAPPA RHO at that time merged with it. From these mergers evolved one practice which becomes the hallmark of our
group. For one, the noble, the traditional hand mark and its handclasp was a covenant agreed by our foreleaders from both ALPHA KAPPA RHO and the Omega Fraternity and Sorority, Inc. Reresented by our OFSI Brothers from San Sebastian College, Bro Alex Ramirez, Bro Dennie Ravarra, Bro Alex Mangubat, to name a few, and together with the
Officers of the founding Members and the Officers of ALPHA KAPPA RHO, they signed pledge for and in behalf of each

other’s group. This merge which happened in September 1976 at Rancho, Marikina (then a municipality) was momentous for to this day we carry in our hands the mark of synthesis, the handclasp that set a strong bond and true unity under one name, the ALPHA KAPPA RHO. Proud to be an International Filipino Fraternity/Sorority

The AKP or SKEPTRON SOCIETY as it  is  likewise  known has always been  and   always   will  be  an  organization steeped  in  the  tradition  of  the  past –  free  expression,  fun  loving, seek  for  the truth, unity, loyalty, respect,   the pursuit of true Brotherhood  and Sisterhood. The  organization  are  made    up  of   men
and  women   from  diverse  cultural,   social,   religious,  political backgrounds   and    interests.   It has   spread   through-out  the  archipelago      and   all   over   the   world   and   has   now   become  better    known   as   the        “Alpha  Kappa  Rho  International   Humanitarian  Service  Fraternity  and Sorority”.

Bro Jun Pasaporte was recruited by Bro Jerry Saguire in U.E Caloocan, and he was the first high school who was recruited. He later on founded the JUNIOR AKRHO.

In August 8, 2008, exactly 35 years since the fraternity was established, the first National Convention was held at Amaranto Stadium, Quezon City which was attended by more than a thousand members from the Philippines and abroad.

The first NATIONAL SUPREME COUNCIL was likewise established.Elected AKP national officers were the following:

    • Bro Richard Buscaino (RB)- National Grand Skeptron
    • Bro Victor Rito (VGR)- National Vice Grand Skeptron (Luzon)
    • Bro Gilbert Caballero (GC)- National Vice Grand Skeptron (Visayas)
    • Bro Rolan Abu (Ben Abu)- National Vice Grand Skeptron (Mindanao)
    • Bro Jose Vicente Icasiano Jr (Jun I)- National Keeper of the Scroll/Secretary General
    • Bro Jojo Del Rosario- National PIO/Spokeperson
    • Bro Kim Ledesma- National Treasurer

The Mexican Mafia (Spanish: Mafia Mexicana), also known as La eMe (Spanish for “the M”), is a highly organized Mexican American criminal organization in the United States.[1][4] Despite its name, the Mexican Mafia did not originate in Mexico and is entirely a U.S. criminal prison organization. Sureños, including MS-13 and Florencia 13,[15] use the number 13 to show allegiance to the Mexican Mafia.

M is the 13th letter of the alphabet. Law enforcement officials report that La eMe is the most powerful gang within the California prison system.[16] Government officials state that there are currently 155–300 official members of the Mexican Mafia with around 990 associates who assist La eMe in carrying out its illegal activities in the hopes of becoming full members.[

Sureños, Sur 13, or Sureños X3 are groups of loosely affiliated gangs[10] that pay tribute to the Mexican Mafia while in U.S. state and federal correctional facilities.

Many Sureño gangs have rivalries with one another and the only time this rivalry is set aside is when they enter the prison system.[4][6][11] Thus, fighting is common among different Sureño gangs even though they share the same common identity. Sureños have emerged as a national gang in the United States.[5]

The Sinaloa Cartel (Spanish: Cártel de Sinaloa or CDS)[9] is an international drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime syndicate.[10] Established during the mid-1980s,[11] the Sinaloa Cartel is based primarily in the city of Culiacán, Sinaloa,[12] with operations in the Mexican states of Baja California, Durango, Sonora, and Chihuahua.[13][14] The cartel is also known as the Guzmán-Loera Organization and the Pacific Cartel, the latter due to the coast of Mexico from which it originated. The cartel has also been called the Federation and the Blood Alliance.[13][15][16][17] The ‘Federation’ was partially splintered when the Beltrán-Leyva brothers broke apart from the Sinaloa Cartel.[18]

    Alpha Phi Omega or APO

    Alpha Phi Omega

    cropped-b-zbbim-exu

The founding of Alpha Phi Omega in the Philippines in 1950 was preceded by an APO service project conducted just after World War II. Manila, the capital of the former Commonwealth of the Philippines, had been devastated during the war. Many universities, utilised for military purposes, were in ruins. Knowing that the education of young
people was a vital necessity for the country to get back on its feet, a number of Alpha Phi Omega members in Texas and the Pacific Northwest, having served as soldiers in the Philippines, organised book drives on their campuses. The successful project gathered hundreds of textbooks, used but usable, from libraries and students and sent to the

Philippines to help re-stock the many burnt-out college libraries in Manila.
A few years later, in January 1950, Sol George Levy (Gamma Alpha chapter 1947), a professional Scouter, an Alpha Phi Omega brother at the University of Washington in Seattle, and a friend of APO National President Dr. H. Roe
“The Chief” Bartle who served as president of Alpha Phi Omega from 1931 to 1946, went to the Philippines to generate interest among Scouts there. One evening, Levy spoke to a group of people about APO, Scouting’s national service fraternity in the USA, and its service project which donated books to Philippine schools. He also
distributed copies of three APO publications: Questions and Answers, National Constitution and By-laws, and Ritual, Rites and Ceremonies. In the audience was Librado Inocencio Ureta, then taking his MA in education at the Far
    Eastern University in Manila.

Ureta and a group of former Scouts founded Alpha Phi Omega in the Philippines on March 2, 1950 at Room 214,Nicanor Reyes Hall, Far Eastern University, Manila.
Alpha Phi Omega grew rapidly in the Philippines. In its third year, it became a national organization with seven chapters chartered in Manila and Visayan campuses. It was registered October 21, 1953 with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit, non-dividend corporation with a registered name of Alpha Phi Omega
International Collegiate Service Fraternity. The registration was renewed on June 8, 1981 with the SEC RegistrationNo. 0099381 under the name of Alpha Phi Omega International Philippines Incorporated
